Illustrations & Icons

This section contains a library of illustrations and icons designed by the EUAA that can be used by national authorities and other entities responsible for the provision of information to communicate and provide information to applicants in a uniform manner. They aim at expressing asylum and reception-relevant terminology in a simple and culturally appropriate way. They can be used in all asylum and reception contexts, including signs in facilities, premises, and in any communication material produced for information provision purposes.

The icons and illustrations were developed according to the communication methodology of the EUAA Let’s Speak Asylum project. They followed standardised design rules and were tested out of context and in context with applicants from various profiles and target groups to ensure that they can be easily understood.

The library currently contains visuals designed for the information provision materials developed by the EUAA and does not cover all asylum and reception-related terminology. New topics will be added gradually.
